Looking to give back to the community, especially to those who are hungry each day on the streets of Little Rock? There is an opportunity to serve as Team Captain during the 4th Friday of the month at Stewpot, which serves lunch daily at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Scott Street, to 100 to 150 homeless residents. Responsibilities of the team captain include: overseeing all the tasks associated with serving the meal and communicating with team members about the dates and arrangements of the team’s service. The captain will receive training for their role and ongoing support in managing their team, which includes lieutenants, cooks and team members There is a great 4th Friday team in place. The required hours for the captain are 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on the 4th Friday each month. The team does not serve the Friday after Thanksgiving.
