Second Readers’ new year starts Wednesday, September 19 at 4:00 p.m. (a new time from last year). In honor of the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth, the September and October meetings will focus on Dickens and his works. Dr. Trey Philpotts, UALR English Department Chair and Dickens’ scholar, will speak at the September meeting. The group will read Great Expectations for discussion at the October meeting.
