A Visitation Training Event for Friends at Home Visitation Team, Hospital Visitation Team, Stephen Ministers and Pastoral Care Team, Thursday September 27 at 5:30 p.m. in the Great Hall

Our guest lecturer will be Lindy Vogado. Lindy is currently serving as Interim Pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Presbyterian College and Union Presbyterian Seminary, Lindy has been a director of campus ministry programming and has also served as a chaplain resident at Baptist Health Medical Center. She is married to Second Presbyterian parish associate, Bobby Williamson. Lindy’s presentation will cover Hospital Basics such as: how to find your patient, what contact precautions mean, how and why you need to wash your hands, where to sit once you get in the room, how to be considerate of medical staff, etc. Also Pastoral Care 101: getting a conversation started, making space for peoples’ feelings and emotions, and caring for both the patient and family in a time of crisis. This event will provide usable information for all of our pastoral care teams. We hope to see you there.
