Youth Musical

This weekend we will present our Second Presbyterian Youth  (SPY) Musical; “Bye Bye Birdie!”  For about 3 months, our youth have been busy preparing, practicing, singing, dancing, learning lines, painting sets, and putting together all the details of the musical!  We are so excited that it’s almost here and we hope to see all of you at one of our performances.  “Bye Bye Birdie” is a musical that is set in the 1950’s and it’s a story about a rock star named Conrad Birdie, who travels to a small town in Ohio to bestow a kiss on one of his biggest fans,  a teenage girl named Kim MacAfee, before he is shipped off to the army.  The hilarity and chaos that ensue  as a part of this story includes his fan club, her family, his publicist, a secretary, an overbearing Mother-In-Law, a teenage boyfriend, and the whole town of “Sweet Apple, Ohio.”  Please join us for this family friendly musical which includes some fun moments with poodle skirts, dancing and singing straight out of the 1950’s.  This is truly a musical that the whole family can enjoy!

Our performances take place on Friday, March 1st at 7 pm, Saturday, March 2nd at 7 pm and Sunday, March 3rd at 2 pm.  Tickets are $15 for reserved seating and $10 for general admission.  If you would like to reserve seats, please email Cathy Hall at Cathleen.Hall@arkansas.gov or you can purchase tickets by calling the church office at 501-227-0000.

We are so excited to have over 50 kids performing and helping with this musical and we hope you’ll come and share our joy and bring your friends and neighbors!

If you have any questions about the musical, please call Heather Rey at 501-227-0000.
