Join us as we welcome our new interim for Young Adult Ministry and Nine O’Clock Worship, Rachel Shepherd. Rachel comes to us from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. While a student there, she served as intern at Ashland Presbyterian Church in Ashland, Virginia, and Montreat Conference Center in Montreat, North Carolina. Rachel has a B.A. in French from Davidson College and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She completed her Clinical Pastoral Education at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rachel was active in the Young Professionals Ministry at Pine Valley United Methodist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has been a guest and supply preacher throughout Virginia and North Carolina. She is married to James Shepherd. Rachel will be leading the Nine O’clock Worship Service and the Young Adult Ministry.
