We will meet in Second Hall for an hour and a half of study and discussion. All women of the church are invited to attend. Our study and discussion will center around Rachel Held Evan’s book, A Year of Biblical Womanhood. This award winning author is a young, strong-willed and independent woman who vowed to take all of the Bible’s instructions for women as literally as possible for a year. A Year of Biblical Womanhood is an exercise in scriptural exploration and spiritual contemplation. What does God truly expect of women, and is there really a prescription for biblical womanhood? Join us as we explore with Evans the rich heritage of biblical heroines, models of grace, and all-around women of valor. The class will meet on March 2 and 16, April 6 and 20, and May 4. For March 2 please read the introduction and the first three chapters. Books are available for purchase in the office for $13. Ms. Evans will be the speaker for the Cotham Lectures at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church in Little Rock on May 3 and 4 at 7:00 p.m. Those participating in the class are encouraged to attend the Cotham Lectures.
