The aim of this milestone designed for 2nd graders (and parents) is to help children discover that they are ready to become partners in reaching out in love to God’s world and to understand their call to serve Christ through service to others. This celebration will include a lock-in for Second Graders and a family mission experience for their families. The lock-in will be Friday, April 24. We will begin with a pizza party at 6:00 p.m. for the children and parent(s). Following dinner, parents and children will participate together in a variety of activities that will explore our call to Christian service until about 7:30 p.m. The children are invited to stay for additional games and activities and to spend the night. On Saturday morning we invite the families to join and participate in one of the service projects that will be part of our all-church “Day of Service.”
