When a loved one dies, one of the most common reactions is an intense yearning, a sense that part of you is missing, and a hunger to have that person back. As time passes, this feeling can also change to one of deep sadness or regret—or it can transform into gratitude and peace. Everyone is at a different place in that journey, and sharing stories often provides solace, helps to ease heartbreak, and release the pressure to bear the burden alone. Our church is providing a place to share those stories.
Join us on the third Tuesday of every month, when our church hosts the Faith and Grief Luncheon for the community from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Second Hall. Participants will experience:
- A supportive community of people who have experienced the death of a loved one.
- Comfort and encouragement through scripture, prayer and story.
- Hope in sharing experiences and feelings.
