 To carry out our goal of caring for the needs of people
in the community and world, our elected officers have
set aside a minimum of twenty-five percent of our
operating budget in addition to distributions from our
Outreach Endowment for ministries and needs beyond
ourselves.
For the year 2008, we contributed over $515,000.00
to local, national and international agencies and
ministries.
Locally, over twenty ministries and agencies
received financial support from
Second Presbyterian.
An important part of our outreach ministry to the local
community is the gift of space in the church for
meetings for support groups and non-profits. Over 120
hours of meeting times are logged each month by support
groups and non-profits.
