We receive new members at all three Sunday morning services. Those who wish to join or those who would like more information about the church are invited to come forward after the Benediction to meet with a minister.

There are several ways to join Second Presbyterian Church:

Transfer of Letter – If you are presently active in another Christian church, you may join by transferring your membership. We will write to your former church for you to notify them of your decision to join this church.

Reaffirmation of Faith – If you have been baptized as a member of a Christian church, but have not been active recently, you may join this church by reaffirming questions similar to the ones you answered at your baptism or confirmation.

Profession of Faith and Baptism – If you have never been a member of a Christian church, you may join this church by profession of Faith and Baptism. You make your Profession of Faith by answering the following questions:

Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

Do you renounce evil and affirm your reliance on God’s Grace?

Is it your intention to participate actively and responsibly in the worship and mission of the church?

After answering these question and being received into the church, a time will be set aside in a future worship service for your baptism.

One other category of membership is for those who are seasonal or temporary residents of this community. You may become an Affiliate Member at Second Presbyterian while maintaining membership in your home church.
