Our first through fifth graders are experiencing a new and creative approach to Sunday School--  the Workshop Rotation Model.

What is the Workshop Rotation Model?

In this fresh approach to teaching the Bible our classrooms have been designed into “workshops”, each focusing on a particular learning style and creative activity.  A Bible story or concept is taught throughout the workshops over the course of several weeks.  Children come to know the Bible and God through a variety of ways—drama, art, games, cooking, audiovisuals, music, puppets---to name a few.

How Does it Work?

Curriculum is designed in 4-5 week “rotations” based on major Biblical stories and themes.  During a five-week period (a rotation), only one Bible story/theme is taught.  Every week each workshop is focused on learning that particular story. Each Sunday all children gather together for opening prayers, singing, and introduction to the theme. Following the gathering time classes (divided by grade-levels) rotate to new workshops each week, experiencing the story through a variety of creative activities.
