These services will include the children processing with palms, and special Palm/Passion Sunday music by the Adult Choir. Karen Akin will preach.
Maundy Thursday, April 2
6:00 p.m., Second Hall
This service will include a simple meal, communion, hymns, scripture, foot-washing, and a homily. Lindy Vogado will preach. Since a meal is included in this service, the kitchen staff needs to know how much food to prepare. Good Friday, April 3
7:00 p.m., Sanctuary
Interwoven into this Tenebrae service of readings and hymns, the congregation will hear, in both text and music, the story of the final days and hours leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion.
Three Services on Easter Sunday, April 5
8:30, 9:00, 11:00 a.m.
Easter morning is an occasion of great joy and renewal. The Easter Gospel will be proclaimed, the great Easter hymns will be sung, and the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at all three services. Steve Hancock will preach.
Music for the 8:30 and 11:00 services will be provided by the Adult Choir. Joyful hymns and triumphant anthems will proclaim the resurrection of Jesus Christ. These services will conclude with the full congregation singing with Brass, Organ and the Adult Choir, G. Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
