Annual Second Presbyterian Documentary Film Festival will be held on Sunday afternoons—July 24, July 31, and August 7 at 4:00 pm in Second Hall.
July 24: Trigger: The Ripple Effect of Gun Violence – This film, produced by the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. addresses the critical issue of gun violence prevention by moving the conversation away from polarizing extremes and lifting up the voice and experiences of those who seek common ground and a way forward. Facilitator: David Gill
July 31: Racing Extinction – This film exposes the hidden world of extinction with never-before-seen images that will change the way we see the planet. Facilitator: Scharmel Roussel
August 7: Killing Us Softly 4: Advertising’s Image of Women – At once provocative and inspiring, this film stands to challenge advertising students to take advertising seriously and to think critically about its relationship to sexism, eating disorders, gender violence, and contemporary politics.
