Faith & Grief Ministries are committed to a variety of meaningful resources to encourage you in the process of mourning. People “grieve like they live,” and so one book may make no sense and another may inspire; stories may help you realize that you have both unique and similar feelings as others; connecting through occasional workshops may be best for you. Our prayer is to have a variety of healthy ways to process your grief, and our monthly luncheon is only one of many opportunities we can provide.
On the third Tuesday of every month, our church hosts a Faith and Grief Luncheon for the community from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Second Hall. Participants will experience: supportive community who have experienced the death of a loved one; comfort through scripture and prayers encouragement through personal stories, and hope in sharing your feelings and experiences.
For our luncheon on June 20, the clergy liturgist is Kathy Kaczmercek, an experienced hospice chaplain, and our grief speaker is Jeanne Lloyd, reflecting on the heartache of multiple loss.
