The first two sessions in January will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through an exploration of the formulation and practices of Doctor King’s doctrine of non-violent resistance.

  • January 7: The Influence of Henry David Thoreau on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
    — Dr. Chuck Chappell, Professor Emeritus of English at Hendrix College
  • January 14: The Influence of Mahatma Gandhi on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
    — Dr. Jay McDaniel, Holmes Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies at Hendrix College

The second two sessions in January will be led by Gene Levy, a retired Rabbi in our community. He will lead an exploration of the effects of the Protestant Reformation on the Jewish faith.
