Jesus came to live and teach among us, to tell us and show us about the kingdom of God. Often Jesus would tell a parabolic story (parable) to teach something crucial about God’s kingdom. The parables of Jesus are among the greatest and most picturesque lessons in all his ministry. All are invited to join this exploration of the parables and their meanings as a part of our Lenten journey together. Come and experience the strangeness and peculiarity of these stories. Come and probe the questions Jesus asks of us as well as the questions we ask of the parables. This class will meet Sundays, 9:50-10:50 a.m. in Second Hall.
