Wednesdays Together is an opportunity for folks of all ages to gather for four evenings of fun, fellowship, and growing in faith. We will share a meal together and nourish our minds and souls through a variety of classes and activities. Children, youth, and adults can engage in study, creative expression and spiritual growth.


Classes/Activities for Adults

“Go West, Young Man!”
The Move West of Mississippi

Location: Second Hall, Sanctuary

February 13: The Decision
The history and background on the decision to move from Downtown to Pleasant Valley. Speakers will include Ralph Wilcox, Arkansas Department of Heritage Coordinator, Karl Kullander, Dickson Flake and other congregation members who will talk about the decision-making progress to move the church in 1969. It will also include the stories of our congregation meeting at the Temple B’nai Israel during the time our current church was being constructed.

February 20: The Design
This session will include special emphasis about the design of the sanctuary and information about the capital campaigns resulting in the expansion of the building and the Youth Building. It will also include information on how the design of the sanctuary reflects trends in Mid-Century Modern church architecture. Speakers will include Catherine Lowry, Ralph Wilcox, and Mason Toms, Architectural Historian with the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program. (This session will meet in the Sanctuary.)

February 27: The Ministry
The session will focus on selected ministries of the church that have been developed and the people who have been served in our community in the last 50 years. Speakers will include members who have been involved in starting and/or serving in these ministries and Associate Pastors, Lindy Vogado & Jen Evans.

Intergenerational Choir

Leaders: Mary Ibis
Location: Choir Room

Children, youth and adults are invited to join their voices together in an intergenerational choir. This ensemble will prepare music that will be shared in worship on March 6 for the Ash Wednesday service. Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents, Children, Friends…all are welcome! Rehearsals will be the same time as Wednesday’s Together classes, 6:30-7:15 p.m. and will take place in the choir room. For more information, please contact Mary Ibis,

Activities for Youth

Middle & High School Youth

Location: Youth Building

SPY will be combining it’s annual musical with our Wednesday night programming. We will be doing a four-week look at The Gospel According to Cinderella. We’ll be reading about the ties you can make between the age-old fairytale, it’s many different variations and the Gospel itself.

“The Berenstain Bears” Film Festival
2-3 years old

Location: Preschool Room 5

This animated series stars a fun loving family of honey Bears whose love, loyalty and humor allow them to overcome any obstacle that finds its way down to their sunny dirt road. Little ones will learn life lessons and community values through the adventures of this bear family.
