Souper Bowl of Caring

More than 29 years ago, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” Since that day, more than $143 million and millions of cans of food were donated to local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving. In Arkansas alone, over 515,000 people are struggling with hunger and food insecurity—and of them 163,800 are children. 1 in 4 children struggles with hunger. Be part of this movement that is sharing God’s love with those in need by donating canned food and praying for those that struggle with food insecurity. Every item collected today goes to the pantry at Grace Presbyterian Church. For more information on Souper Bowl of Caring visit tacklehunger.org.
