May 31: “Severely Neglected Pentecost”
Pentecost is one of the most important days in the church calendar, but it is also one of the most neglected! As well as studying what the scripture says about the movement of the Holy Spirit and the day when all heaven broke loose, we’ll meditate together on why we have so overlooked the power and fire of this beautiful Sunday.
We will welcome Reverend Carol Clark, a long-time Presbyterian pastor who currently serves as part of our Presbytery Staff has led a variety of creative workshops and classes around the Presbytery related to worship and liturgy. We look forward to celebrating Pentecost with Carol and learning more about this holy day often referred to as “the birthday of the church.”
