Each year on Pentecost, our congregation participates in our denomination’s Pentecost Offering. A gift to the Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people and address the needs of children who are at-risk. Sixty percent of the offering goes to support the Presbyterian Mission Agency’s programs in these areas, and forty percent of the offering goes to a local organization in our community addressing the needs of children, youth, and young adults. This year our local portion will be going to Immerse Arkansas, which is an organization that provides housing, mentoring, and other support services to youth who are aging out of the foster care system.
