The Birthday Offering is one of Presbyterian Women’s two offerings. Received in the spring each year, it gives women a tangible way to celebrate the blessings in their lives. The Birthday Offering funds up to five projects each year, in amounts of $75,000 to $150,000 each. This offering provides grants to enable a variety of ministries supported by churches and Presbyteries around the country and world. The 2020 Birthday Offering recipients include:
- Center for Social Assistance to Disabled, Family, and Children in Davydovo, Russia. The offering will help construct a home that provides suitable living conditions, constant medical support and right to freedom of religion and working.
- GAP Ministries of Augusta, Georgia. This ministry serves a community on the margins of society—helping with food, clothing, toiletries, prescriptions, and photo IDs for homeless individuals and families. This gift will expand access and services.
- Community PresbyterianLearning Center in Payson, Arizona—A Childcare and Prekindergarten Facility for the Tonto Apache Tribe and neighboring communities. This grant will increase services and add infant care much needed in the area.
- Liberty Community Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Northside Healing Space provides support in healing, workforce development, access to healthy food, and care for survivors of trauma and commercial sexual exploitation.
