Legendary classic rock band Foreigner will host the Second Presbyterian Church Chamber Choir during the band’s August 8 Little Rock show at Simmons Bank Arena.
Under the direction of Dr. Bevan Keating, The SPC Chamber Choir will open the concert with a 15-minute a cappella set of various classic rock songs. The choir’s performance continues a 15-year tradition of having local choirs either perform with the band onstage and/or open the band’s shows with a cappella performances. Foreigner is donating $500.00 to the choir to use towards its Children’s Music Ministry. “As far as I’m concerned, music is not only the most powerful form of communication between the peoples of the world, it provides a gateway that opens up a fantastic new dimension of feeling and creativity. Anything we can do to provide our young ones with the tools to express themselves through music, is our goal in this partnership,” Foreigner guitarist and founding member Mick Jones said.
