The Session voted to call a congregational meeting for the purpose of dissolving the pastoral relationship between Rev. Jen Evans and Second Presbyterian Church. The congregation will act on the request of Rev. Jen Evans and the Session. When a church calls a pastor, it is a three-way call involving the pastor, the congregation and the Presbytery. Likewise, when a pastor chooses to seek another call, the congregation, the pastor and the Presbytery all approve the action. The meeting will take place on Sunday, December 19, 2021, following all three worship services.
