Planned Giving

Second Presbyterian Church has a program to provide for planned giving, an opportunity to extend your financial support to Second Church beyond your lifetime, called Second Gifts. It is a loving way to continue your support of the ministries and missions of Second Church. It allows us to continue sharing our faith with future generations. All planned gifts are added to Second Church’s endowment fund.

Image Second Presbyterian Church“For Those Who Follow” reminds us of those who follow Christ. Second Church is a place for us to deepen our spirituality to follow Christ, witness friends and loved ones follow Christ, and help other generations follow Christ.

We have been blessed to follow in the footsteps of members who have been role models of stewardship, Christian love and service to those in need. Second Gifts will ensure that God’s believers who follow us will have the same enriching experiences with which we have been blessed.

Give your family the gift of planning your estate thoughtfully. Planned Giving helps families create lasting legacies for their heirs and our church.

Our Endowment Fund Supports:

  • Outreach: Contributing to more than 33 local, national and international agencies providing hunger relief, shelter, and emergency relief.
  • Scholarship: Contributing to funds that provide college scholarships to students, Presbyterian colleges, and Austin Theological Presbyterian Seminary.
  • Ministry: Contributing to all of our church’s ministries including Stephen Ministry, Education, Pastoral Care, Music, Belonging, Children, Youth, and Young Adult Ministries.

Mission Statement

Planned giving presents the opportunity for our members to extend their financial support of our church beyond our lifetimes. Our goal is not to elicit a planned gift from every member, but to give every member the opportunity to make an informed decision about making a planned gift to Second Presbyterian Church.
