Second Presbyterian is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Music and the Arts. The purpose of this position is to administer and conduct various programs/ensembles within our children’s music program (preschool through 5th grade), conduct Adult and Youth Handbell ensembles, and grow a robust, participatory music program which maintains and builds upon Second Presbyterian Church’s rich history of musical excellence. Repairing Homes, Transforming Lives. Appalachian Service Project (ASP) provides one of the most rewarding structured service opportunities in the nation — bringing thousands of volunteers from around the country to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes for low-income families. ASP makes homes warmer, safer, and drier for families. ASP believes all people should be able to live in affordable, safe, and sanitary housing. Shelter is a basic human need impacting all areas of life for families. ASP addresses this basic need so families no longer need to worry about leaky roofs, soft floors, or unsafe porches and stairs. Our seven youth and two adult volunteers will be challenged and strengthened during their experience serving God’s people.

The Belonging Ministry is hosting a church-wide lunch after worship! Our next lunch will be Sunday, June 2 after the 10:00 a.m. service. We will gather at the Lord’s Table during worship and then gather round our Great Hall tables to enjoy a delicious meal together. Menu: Brenda’s Brunch! Sausage casserole, cinnamon rolls, potato casserole, fruit salad. Veggie and gluten free options will be available.
