Presbyterian Women at Second Presbyterian
All women are invited to participate in the many ways Presbyterian Women in our faith community seek to fulfill our purpose. Presbyterian Women study the Bible, get to know one another, provide hospitality and pastoral care, are involved in mission and stewardship, and develop leaders within our congregation. There are several ways to get involved with Presbyterian Women in our congregation:
Monthly Gatherings and Bible Study
All women are invited to gather on the first Tuesday of each month for fellowship, worship, and Bible Study. This group gathers at 10:00 a.m. in Second Hall. The 2016-2017 PW/Horizons Bible Study is “Who is Jesus? What a Difference a Lens Makes.”
Presbyterian Women Circles
We have four circles that meet on the first Tuesday of each month following the monthly gathering. These small groups discuss and reflect on the lesson presented in the gathering, provide fellowship and pastoral care for their members, and participate in PW mission projects. For more information about participating in a PW Circle contact our moderator Betty Jean Moore (224-5313).
There is also an evening circle (Huldah) that meets on the second Sunday of each month for food, fellowship, and Bible study. If you are interested in participating in the evening circle please contact its moderator, Catherine Allsbury (firstname.lastname@example.org, (501) 256-3352.
Together in Service
Together in Service meets on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May, for fellowship and mission work. This group, which meets at 9:30 a.m. can be found visiting with one another as they work together on a variety of mission projects (sewing, knitting, packing mission kits, rolling bandages, etc.). No skills are required to join this group.
