Family Promise – 100-Hole Golf Marathon and Fun Walk, Monday, October 15, 2012

100 holes of golf – in 10 hours! That’s like playing a month’s worth of golf
in a day. Family Promise of Pulaski County is looking for 40 golfers with
a heart for our homeless families, golfers who are willing to give 100 holes
a try. The second Golf Marathon and Fun walk will raise much-needed
monies to benefit our families (transportation, case management, personal
care items, and more).
In addition to the 40 golfers, non-golfers—men, women, and children, whole
families—are invited to participate in a fund-raising Fun walk through the
trees and greenery along the beautiful cart paths of our golf course while
the golfers are going at those 100 holes.
This year’s Golf Marathon and Fun Walk will be held Monday, October
15, 2012, at Maumelle Country Club. The grand finale for all participants
on this fun day for families who care will be watching one lucky person, a walker or golfer, take a shot at
winning $5,000 by making a 40-foot putt! The day will end with a cookout for all participants.
