Presbyterian Women Purpose
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to:
- nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
support the mission of the church worldwide,
- work for justice and peace, and
- build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Presbyterian Women (PW) of Second Presbyterian Church is part of an independent organization of more than 300,000 women. We study God’s word, pray together, engage in mission, and enjoy fellowship with one another.
We currently meet at 10:00 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month, September – May.
Three circles gather each month following the 10:00 gathering and Together in Service meets monthly for hands-on mission. The 2021-22 study is called What My Grandmothers Taught Me, Learning from the Women in Matthew’s Genealogy of Jesus.
