Does Valentine’s day bring back bittersweet memories of a loved one lost? The good news is that those grieving a death of a loved one or friend do not need to feel alone, or that one’s complicated feelings are inappropriate.
Grief changes over time and becomes more manageable in a community of understanding. If you are mourning the death of a loved one, or experienced a life-altering change, you are invited to join this fellowship of caring for lunch and guided conversation.
February’s meeting will begin with a short prayer for well being led by Rev. Paul Atkins of Canvas Community Church, followed by a boxed lunch and brief words from our guest speaker Ms. Susie Beck of First Presbyterian Church; afterwards participants are invited to join table conversations led by trained volunteers. You can share as much or as little of your story as you need.
