All women of the church are invited to participate in the “World Day of Prayer” Celebration sponsored by Church Women United, on Friday, March 3, at Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott Street. Registration and welcome begins at 9:30 a.m. and the celebration is at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to carpool, please meet in the church parking lot at 9:15 a.m. “World Day of Prayer” is an ecumenical movement where women of many faith traditions across 170 countries and regions observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday in March. The WDP’s motto is “informed prayer leads to prayerful action.” Offerings collected at these services fund grants for projects that address issues of concern to women and children.
