Second Presbyterian Church member, Christian Huisman has been working this fall for a non-profit organization called Invisible Children. Invisible Children uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony’s rebel war and restore LRA-affected communities in central Africa to peace and prosperity. Christian has been spending most of this fall, traveling in a van with three other young adults, including one from Uganda, showing a movie created by Invisible Children. They traveled all over Texas and Louisiana. Christian will be coming home for the holidays with stories to share with his church family.
Please join us in the Youth Building on the evening of Monday, December 19 at 7:00 for a screening of the (short) movie Christian has been showing this fall, “Tony”. There will be a brief verbal presentation before the movie and an opportunity afterwards for questions and answers. We hope you’ll take the time out of your busy schedule to come and find out more about the longest-running war in Africa and what Invisible Children is doing in those countries.
