Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

West Little Rock Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Monday November 19, 7:00 PM

Second Presbyterian Church
600 Pleasant Valley Drive

Our annual worship service is a time for us to come together, give thanks to God together and to reflect on the gifts we receive from being a diverse, multicultural, interfaith community.  In cooperation, in hopes of greater understanding and celebration of our differences, we will be joined in unity by the One who creates us all.  Rabbi David Lipper of Temple B’Nai Israel will deliver the homily.  Guest musicians from Temple B’Nai Israel will join the Second Presbyterian Church Hand Bell Ringers and Adult Choir in leading music for the service.  Sharon Downs will serve as Interpreter for the Deaf.

An offering will be received for Arkansas Rice Depot, which is celebrating 30 years of feeding the hungry and working towards sensible solutions to hunger in Arkansas. Along with monetary gifts, participating congregations are invited to bring peanut butter and canned pasta for the Food for Kids program.

A reception will follow the service of worship in Second Hall at the church.

 Participating congregations include:

Unitarian Universalist Church
St. James United Methodist Church
Christ the King Catholic Church
Westover Hills Presbterian Church
