Turn Your New and Used Shoes Into Clean Drinking Water

During Wednesdays Together the Kindergartners – 5th graders explored of God’s gift of water. While learning about water stories in the Bible, they also learned about how we can help provide safe and clean water for people living around the world. You all are invited to join their special mission project. Ozark Water Projects is a local organization that collects new and wearable used shoes. These shoes are then sold to distributors in South America, Kenya and Haiti. The sale of the shoes helps aid the local economy, provides inexpensive shoes to many who would otherwise have none, and it keeps our old shoes out of our landfills. The money Ozark Water Projects raises is then used to purchase well-digging rigs, water purification systems, and other supplies to bring fresh, clean water to those in need. You are invited to bring your new and used shoes to the collection “wells” at the entrance to Bible Village and in the Northwest Entry (near the Great Hall) on Sunday mornings. The children will be collecting them through March 31st so you have time to clean out your closet and help share God’s gift of water.
