Dear Congregation Members, Parents, Friends, Theater-goers and Supporters of Second Presbyterian Youth:
As most of you know, our Second Presbyterian Youth (SPY) have been working hard on putting together a WONDERFUL musical for everyone’s enjoyment! We have been learning songs and dances and lines for “The Wizard of Oz” and last week we were really hoping for a busy, yet fun-filled tech week in order to get the show all together with all of the pieces put perfectly together.
Unfortunately, the weather in Arkansas had other ideas of what our tech week would look like. Because of inclement weather, we ended up having to cancel three straight days of our tech week rehearsals.
We would really like to “finish strong” and put on the production that we hoped to from the beginning. We pay attention to every detail and we want every person in our audience to see the true “finished product” as we all pull together to put on “The Wizard of Oz.”
Towards this effort, we have decided to effectively cancel our Friday night show as a performance and use it as a final dress rehearsal. If you already have purchased Friday night tickets, we would like to offer you the following options:
1. We will honor our Friday general admission, student and senior citizen tickets at either our Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon performance. All you need to do is bring your ticket to one of those performances.
2. We will refund your money if you are unable to make one of the other performances. We would ask that all refunds go through Heather Rey at 501-517-0951 and be handled before Saturday night.
3. If you’d like to come and watch the dress rehearsal on Friday and you have a Friday ticket, we would be happy to have you in our audience. This will be considered a dress rehearsal so there may be some starting and stopping as we get the rough edges smoothed out. If you are up for the whole “behind the scenes” experience, please feel free to use your Friday ticket for Friday night’s dress rehearsal.
4. If you purchased reserved tickets for the Friday evening performance, we will be contacting you directly to change your seats to either Saturday or Sunday. Please check your email for this request from me later today.
We are so sorry to have to alter our Friday performance but we want to make sure that every member of our audience has a quality performance to attend and we need the time that we lost due to weather to get ready.
