Chuck Chappell, Ph.D., will lead the discussion of Chaim Potok’s best-selling novel My Name Is Asher Lev.
Asher is growing up in the 1950’s in an insular Hasidic subculture in Brooklyn. His great talent as an artist causes conflict and suffering as he searches for self-identity. The novel approaches matters like ” religion and art, faith and God, duty and calling” with seriousness and intensity.
