Leaders and activists in science, economics, and spirituality discuss ways to evolve amidst climate change. This film is shared with us through Arkansas Interfaith Power and Light.
July 19: Walter Norris: A Documentary by Chuck Dodson Facilitator: Chuck Dodson
This film, produced by Hot Springs filmmaker and musician Chuck Dodson, takes an intimate look at the life of one of the greatest (though rarely known) of all jazz pianists. Featuring rare film footage and interviews, the film follows his career from Los Angeles, to New York, and to Berlin and gives an intimate look into the mind that not only created such amazing music, but that forged such an unconventional path through life. Join us for the Arkansas premiere of this great film!
July 26: Give Me The Banjo: Stories of America’s Instrument Facilitator: Doug Akin
Steve Martin narrates this musical odyssey through 300 years of American history and culture featuring contemporary banjo masters such as Pete Seeger, Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck. A mix of history and music—rare archival footage, interviews, and performances tell the story of the development of blue grass in America.
