Our Shalom Zone theme for the month of November is Hunger Awareness/Food Security. First-fifth graders will explore a variety of Bible stories in which food is provided for those who are hungry and will be involved in hands-on activities and games to explore how children and families can help fight hunger in our community. On November 25 our Shalom Teams will go on a grocery shopping field trip (to Kroger) to buy food to provide to a local food pantry. Our offering for the month of November will be shelf-stable food items or monetary donations to be used for our shopping trip.
