Songs and Stories with Miss Mary
Our weekly videos begin this month. Look for an e-mail on Wednesday, September 16 with a link to our first video. Videos will be e-mailed each Wednesday this fall to all SPC children birth to 5th grade. Family Bells
This intergenerational, pod style music opportunity will begin mid-September. Children, youth, parents, and other family members will be invited to the church to do small group ringing. Look for registration information on Facebook, in the E-Connect and in an e-mail coming on September 14. Or, register online.
Created to Create!
Our first workshop will be on Sunday, September 27, 4:00 p.m. on Zoom. This program is a new, interactive, virtual, multisensory, free, no registration required, opportunity that engages children in musical, artistic, kinesthetic, and theatrical play. This workshop-styled opportunity will allow participants time to explore scripture through art, including painting, clay, fabric, sculpture, mixed media, and more. We will also use music to inspire our creative time together, sometimes singing, sometimes listening to music and songs that help grow us in our faith. We will spend some time doing dramatic readings of scripture, and incorporate movement to underscore the learning and creating process. This workshop will be offered monthly. Adult Handbells
Ready to Ring? Our first in-person opportunity will be Monday, September 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Spaces are limited to 8 ringers with strict standards and protocols endorsed and approved by the church’s session. To reserve your spot, please contact Mary Ibis.
