The Peace & Global Witness Offering takes place on World Communion Sunday, a day when we are called to be especially mindful of our fellow children of God around the world. On this day, we celebrate the diversity of our Christian community, and we also renew our commitment to love and serve more graciously all God’s children, especially those who are suffering due to poverty, violence, and discrimination.
Gifts received for the Peace & Global Witness Offering will be used to support the denomination’s Presbyterian Peacemaking Program as well as local peace-making efforts in our community. This year the local portion of the Peace & Global Witness Offering will go to Interfaith Friendship Camp, a week-long program of the Interfaith Center that brings together children of diverse faith traditions to nurture peace and understanding in our community.
