The Great Hall

Join us for our fall resurgence of classes, ministries, and opportunities! Travel our mix-and-mingle among more than 20 tables to discover the people and focus of our Sunday morning courses, midweek groups, outreach, volunteering, music and more: find a new study or meet your new favorite group, as we showcase EVERYTHING Second Presbyterian has to offer from children and youth through adult generations. We love this delightful way to showcase the depth and breadth of our wonderful community – drop in before or after worship!

On Sunday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m, we celebrate all the opportunities we have to learn and grow throughout our lives. For those who will be beginning a new school year as a student, faculty, or staff person, we encourage you to come forward when invited to receive a special blessing, reminding you that the prayers of all of us go with you.

On Sunday, June 25, the Pastor Nominating Committee presented Dr. Benjamin Kane to be our new Pastor/Head of Staff, and the congregation joyously approved the nomination! Ben has been serving as the pastor of Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church in Tarboro, NC since 2014, and he previously served as Associate Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN. He earned his Master of Divinity Degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School, and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary. Ben is married to Lydia, an Arkansas native, and they have two children. We can’t wait to welcome the Kanes to Little Rock in September!

This week, Rev. Lindy Vogado marks her ten year anniversary on our church staff. Thank you, Lindy, for your commitment to Christ and our congregation. May you serve with us many more years!

Enjoy a cup of joe and a small treat with friends before worship.  A coffee cart will be available by the Prayer Garden 8:20 a.m. (weather permitting), and it will be moved into the Narthex prior to the 10:00 service.  Take this opportunity to catch up with friends.
