On Sunday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m. we celebrate all the opportunities we have to learn and grow throughout our lives. For those who will be beginning a new school year as a student, faculty, or staff person, you will have an opportunity to receive a blessing from this congregation. As a symbol of that blessing, we will have keychains for briefcases or backpacks at the front of the sanctuary. This is given in recognition of God’s daily presence in our lives and the tag serves as a visible reminder of this blessing and the prayers of the community of Second Presbyterian Church throughout the school year.
