Faith Compassion Heritage Fellowship
While many of our regular service opportunities have been paused during these days of social distancing, our congregation continues to be deeply committed to serving those outside the walls of our church. During this year, our congregation has provided financial support to over 35 local and denominational organization who are serving our community during these challenging days.
Feeding the Hungry
Second Presbyterian volunteers continue to serve our neighbors in a modified form at both Stewpot and the Food Pantry at Grace Presbyterian Church. Since March, Stewpot has been distributing sack lunches each day to the community members who previously ate in their dining room and the food pantry at Grace Presbyterian has continued to serve those in need by providing a drive-thru pantry option. While both of these programs are currently well-supported with volunteers, please contact Lindy Vogado if you would like to learn more.
Second Presbyterian Church seeks to reflect the caring compassion of Christ. Pastoral Care provides comfort, support, and counsel during times of physical, emotional or spiritual need. Through contact with a pastor, connection to a support group, or participation in one of our ministries, we pray that persons will receive the help necessary to experience Christ’s care and be strengthened in their faith.
